Over the past 37 years, WA has maintained itself as an African-American owned and operated, culturally diverse group that is now focused on our strategic plan for greater resource development and growth. Our growing staff has extensive design experience on a wide variety of projects, for a diversified group of clientele throughout the Midwestern and Southeastern United States.
We have prided ourselves in being a leader in the Greater Cincinnati African-American community. Our involvement in projects such as The Urban League of Greater Cincinnati Headquarters in Avondale; The Community Action Agency/Theodore M. Berry Headstart in the West End; and the Lincoln Community Center, also in the West End neighborhood; has been the staple of our business and mission to serve the community throughout our long existence. Other community-based projects we have led and/or are currently leading include: Rothenberg Preparatory Academy in Over-The-Rhine; Rockdale Academy in Avondale, Melrose YMCA in Walnut Hills, and the Southern Baptist Church Multi-purpose Facility in Avondale; all of which are either within or border Cincinnati's Empowerment Zone. WA has also played a significant role in a number of higher-profile projects such as: Great American Ballpark (East Garage and Red's Hall of Fame), Queen City Tower, Duke Energy Center, and the National African-American Museum and Cultural Center in Wilberforce, Ohio.
Furthermore, WA has also been recognized for architectural design excellence, with such examples as the University College building on the main campus of University of Cincinnati, the Ameriflora Discovery Pavilion at Franklin Park Conservatory in Columbus, and the Granular Activated Carbon (GAC) Facility for Greater Cincinnati Water Works. As well, WA is Continuing to grow now with its expanded focus on Healthcare Facilities; currently working with clients such as Cincinnati Children's Hospital and University Hospital.
